Fiesta 4-Piece Dinner Plate Set in Claret Red - Elegant Tableware for Casual Dining, Dinner Parties & Holiday Entertaining

All 3 sets were Wedding gifts!I purchased 7 sets of these (all different colors) in the last six weeks. Overall I love them. Out of the 7 sets I had two issues....1) the purple set was not stamped with fiesta as all of the others were. The large plate seems to be a bit different (not sure if they just didn't get stamped or if they aren't authentic) 2) my mug in scarlet has a crack all the way around the handle like it never had a good seal? I'm worried about putting it in the dishwasher so I've only hand washed it. Hoping for the best. 3) I do think the small plate is smaller than any other dish set I've ever had. Overall I recommend these. The prices were comparable to other sites, they seem to be durable and I love the colors. I just wish I knew what happened to the scarlet mug and wish I would have been more on top of things because I missed the return window.Love Fiesta dishes. Beautiful, durable and no lead or cadmium in the glaze. Both are very toxic. According to their web site, even Correlle has these substances. So many gorgeous colors. I love the cobalt blue color. I heard cobalt was one of Fiesta's original colors. It goes perfectly with my kitchen colors. Like buying the pieces individually so I can order the sizes and the amount of each size I want. Since I like purchasing the individual pieces better, I gave the review four stars. I'm using the dinner plates in place of a meat platter Europeans eat off smaller plates and so do we. The lunch plates are the perfect size for main meals. I would have bought a meat platter instead of dinner plates, but this way they won't go to waste. The medium bowls can be used for serving dishes.Added it to my collection of Fiestaware! Each item is fairly small though that's not the real problem. The real problem is that they conduct heat like crazy. Just pouring hot soup into the bowl and then putting the bowl on a plate was enough to make the bottom of the PLATE too hot to handle. I have used the plate in the microwave for 30 seconds and it did not get hot, so I'm not sure why hot food placed on it should heat it up so dramatically. The color is attractive and as pictured, but the quality is average, and you can certainly find pretty dishes that don't transmit heat the way these do for a lot less money. Have had them for months now and like them much better. They don't chip. Great quality and beautiful colors.price
